I'm a Catholic writer and the purpose of my books is to bring people to God and inspire them to live the Christian life - whatever their denomination.
My interest in horses and riding provides me with useful plot material: equines feature prominently in my characters' spiritual journeys.
But not exclusively, because my son has ulcerative colitis. His daily struggle with the disease has become my struggle, too, and gave me the idea for the main character in The Jack Harper Trilogy. The trio of books are: Riding Out the Devil, Riding Out the Tempest and Riding Out the Rough.

Those posts receive an unbelievable number of hits. This tells me just how many others among you are dealing with this horrible disease and I will continue to post the ideas on how to combat it that are working for my son.
As a pro-life Christian, my volunteer work at the local pregnancy crisis center has given me the opportunity to help conflicted mothers-to-be choose to give birth. They have all come back to the center to introduce their babies and thank us.
